With the exception of the fourth figure from the right in back which was acquired from a
Boston collection, these figures were part of a private New York collection. Seven of the
figures offered here show definite signs of use and age and are being offered on Rand Tribal,
while the remaining seven plus an additional figure, which appear to have been carved for
the collecting market, are being offered here on Discover African Art.
