A nicely carved figure with three children. I enjoy the detail to this piece, especially small features like how the mother is supporting the children on
her legs by the placement of her hands underneath the buttocks. The faces on the children have a lot of character, they almost remind me of
Cherubs.
Despite its appearance, this object shows no real signs of age or use. It is my opinion that this object was most likely carved specifically for the
collecting market.
