A nicely carved figure with an elaborate bulbous hairstlye and a nice slight forward movement to the seated mother. The child is in a rigid pose, but
I especially like how it was carved with one of the mother's hands under the child's head, while the other is resting on and supporting the child's legs.
Despite its appearance, this object shows no real signs of age or use. It is my opinion that this object was most likely carved specifically for the
collecting market.
