| Baule kneeling figure, Ivory Coast 18" tall wood, pigment SOLD A nicely carved figure in a kneeling position, which is uncommon in Baule sculpture. Despite its appearance, this object shows no real signs of age or use. It is my opinion that this object was most likely carved specifically for the collecting market. |
